FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CONCERNING RECYCLED PLASTIC PROFILES.  

What colours are available?
Our basic colours are Black and Dark Brown. Other colours are available to order.

What is it made from?
The profiles are manufactured from recycled Polyethylene and the colour is achieved with Polyethylene based master batch.

How are the profiles produced?
Some are moulded and others are produced by continuous extrusion. Previously we have only been able to offer only certain lengths of profiles, now, in certain sizes, we can offer the length you require. This reduces the amount of waste and cost.

Quality?
This is controlled by EU sourced, trackable recycled polyethylene, which together with a modern manufacturing process produce top quality products.

What about Toxins?
The profiles contain no toxins or hazardous substances and no other additives other than those mentioned above. They are resistant to most chemicals, durable and virtually maintenance free.

Any Special tools needed?
With recycled plastic no special tools or cutting equipment are required. It is recommended that profiles are screwed or bolted together rather than using nails.

Any Special features?
Some profile sizes are available in solid or hollow form, giving a wider range of uses. Structures can be dismantled and the profiles reused. The decking in stagings and boardwalks is available with a rough textured non-slip finish.

Cost?
The cost of the profiles compares very favourably with those of treated timber, but when the cost of maintenance inspections, re-treating timber and eventual dismantling and renewing of structures is taken into consideration, recycled plastic will work out considerably cheaper.
